Equine Alert systems are designed specifically for detection of intrusion and/or fire in equine boarding and service structures. Equine Alert also offers the addition of video monitoring of area or specific stall with easy viewing via Internet communications.
Intrusion System
You spend a great deal of money on horses, equipment and facilities. Why not take the extra step to protect it with a state of the art intrusion system?
The Equine Alert Intrusion System is programmed remotely and monitored without the need for telephone lines. Each authorized user of the system will have his/her own unique code to activate/de-activate the system. The internal memory stores activities, which codes were used at what time to activate system and alarm history for up to 30 days.
Motion sensors will detect movement in areas where entry may be gained without opening a door, e.g. tack room or office.
The Equine Alert Intrusion System includes notification devices that will alert personnel in the area that an alarm-activation has occurred. Intruders typically will leave the premises immediately on activation. Authorized personnel who might accidentally activate the system can cancel the alarm by immediately disarming the system with an authorized user code and notifying the monitoring center to cancel by identifying themselves with a proper pass code.
The Equine Alert GSM cellular communication system provides off premise communication via this unit, eliminating the need for telephone or other old technology communications of alarm events.
Fire Detection
Fire is one of the greatest fears of a horse farm operation. Because of the high level of dust and moisture in these operations, conventional smoke detectors are not the best option. Equine Alert uses Rate of Rise Heat detectors in each space/room including one per stall, tack room, office, etc.
Smoke Detectors although faster acting life safety device are not suitable for installation in stalls, tack rooms, etc. that are considered dusty/dirty environments. A controlled clean environment e.g. air conditioned office or human living quarters would be the proper application for these types of detectors.
Manual Pull Stations usually located strategically near pedestrian exits allow human activation of a Fire Alarm.
Voice Annunciation modules are included in any combination system utilizing both intrusion and fire detection devices as it will give voice notification of the type of emergency the system has detected, e.g. in a fire situation the system will make a universal fire alarm tone followed by repeating "Fire, Fire, Fire" then alternating back and forth tone, voice, tone, voice until the system is manually reset. An intrusion alarm would sound "Intruder, Intruder, Intruder."
Video Monitoring
Wouldn’t it be great if you could visually monitor the horses in their stalls? How about foal watch? Or keeping an eye on a sick horse not matter where you are? What about checking on the premises as well?
Equine Alert provides a per camera option that allows high quality video monitoring of facility areas or individual stalls that can be viewed from off premises via Internet broadband communications. Live and recorded video is available for individual subscribers so they might view their horses separate of the facility video cameras.
